Ever wondered why you’re obsessed with HIIT, yet your best friend can’t wait to get her flow on during her favourite yoga class? Maybe? (just maybe) it could be your star signs talking…

Well, the experts behind leading wellness app and software technology company, MINDBODY, have done their research and here is their advice for which workouts  fuel which star sign… did they get it right?

It’s time to embrace your inner Zodiac!

Aries (March 20-April 20)
What to Try: High-intensity circuit training  
Aries is a cardinal fire sign, which means it has the motivation to take on any challenge with passion, courage, and intensity. The challenge with this sign? You need to keep it short. Aries are known to lose interest after a while, so workouts like HIIT that feature quick bursts of energy are important.

Taurus (April 20-May 21)
What to Try: Barre 
Taurus is a fixed earth sign, which means it is drawn to situations that fully embrace the sustaining power of the physical body. The challenge with this sign is getting outside the comfort zone of their usual fitness routine. A low-impact, strength-focused workout, like barre, will set you up for success.

Gemini (May 21-June 21)
What to Try: Dance/Step aerobics/Zumba 
Gemini is a mutable air sign, meaning it’s energised by an adaptable curiosity and desire to learn and express. The challenge for this sign is focused thought and communication, so a more spontaneous workout, such as dance, is key. Find fitness that engages your mind through coordination!

Cancer (June 21-July 23)
What to Try: Yin Yoga  
Cancer is a cardinal water sign, which means it is motivated by intentional activity that engages the emotional body and provides a release for all that energy. The challenge for this sign? Finding comfort in what they feel. Embrace positive vibes and clear out any emotional stagnation through a slower paced yoga practice, like Yin.

Leo (July 23-August 23)
What to Try: Cycling  
Leo is a fixed fire sign, which means it is driven to succeed with unwavering passion and enthusiasm. The challenge for this sign is getting caught up in the desire and losing focus on the outcome. Channel your playful (and competitive) spirit and pedal to a sick beat – you’ll kill it in cycling class.

Virgo (August-September 23)

Virgo is a mutable earth sign, which means it loves learning how to improve the physical body holistically. What’s the biggest challenge for this sign? Getting caught up in the analytical mind and becoming too critical. Try fitness like aerial yoga that combines elements of different exercises, so you are constantly evolving.

Libra  (September 23-October 23)

Scorpio (October 23-November 22)

Sagittarius  (November 22-December 22)
What to Try: Karate 
Motivated by the freedom to explore and grow, Sagittarius is a mutable fire sign. The challenge for this sign is to stay committed long enough to gain what is most valuable. Trying a more out-of-the-box workout, like karate, gives you a different perspective when it comes to fitness and will expand your wellness horizon.

Capricorn (December 22-January 20)

Capricorn is a cardinal earth sign, meaning it is driven by structure and form. The challenge for this sign? Becoming too focused on the details and enjoying the process. Choosing a workout that emphasises power and muscle control will help you conquer your goals. Pilates is a perfect fit!

Aquarius (January 20-February 18)
What to Try: Indoor Climbing 
A fixed air sign, Aquarius’ are energised by big-picture thinking and actions. The biggest challenge for this sign? Not getting engrossed in the conceptual process. Choose workouts, like indoor rock climbing, that embody what you want to achieve… physically, mentally and emotionally.

Pisces (February 18-March 20)
What to Try: Ta’i Chi
