Want to sweat with the stars on your next trip to L.A.? Maybe stalk their workout wear style or find out how they always keep their physiques camera-ready? We got you covered!

AIR Aerial Fitness
If you’ve always wanted to run away and join the circus (and aren’t scared of spinning upside down on a trapeze) AIR is the perfect workout for you. This dynamic class uses hanging silk hammocks for acrobatic gravity-defying exercises that include boot camp moves – think burpees while suspended in the air – and tricks like doing the splits in mid-air. Flexible much? If you’re after a long, lean look like celeb fans Sarah Hyland and Jamie Chung, this unique workout will get your adrenaline pumping.

The Sweat Spot
Dance like nobody’s watching and get fit doing it? Hell YES! Ryan Heffington’s dance studio offers a wide range of classes including ballet, contemporary, modern, jazz, hip hop, dance fitness, twerking (!), Pilates as well as an every-changing assortment of the latest emerging dance styles. Delta Goodrem and Renee Bargh have both been spotted shaking it in these epically fun sweat seshes. Hair flicks guaranteed…

Barry’s Bootcamp Hollywood
If your #lifegoal is sweating it out on a treadmill next to Jake Gyllenhaal, then you’re in the right place. Workouts in Barry’s infamous “Red Room” focus on a different body part each day so choose a class based on your problem area (or if you’re devoted, go every single day without overworking muscles). Ready for a real challenge? Sign up for the full-body class! Each high-intensity one-hour class combines running on a treadmill with strength-training intervals using free weights, resistance bands and medicine balls.

Cycle House West Hollywood
How many fitness studios have their own reality TV show? If you’ve seen Hollywood Cycle before, then you’ve already heard of this famous studio. The instructors on the show do actually teach here, so you’re almost guaranteed to see a reality TV star at one of these intense, hip-hop heavy classes. If you’re ready to go hard, sweat it out and leave it all on the bike – this is the class for you!

Rise Nation
Short on time but want to get in a serious workout? This unique 30-minute HIIT class uses a VersaClimber vertical climbing machine which offers full-body cardio, along with toning and strength training. The motion of the machine requires arm/leg coordination and takes a little getting used to – imagine climbing a steep ladder, really fast, in time with the music. With the dark room, flashing lights and pumping tunes it’s more nightclub than gym  – just ask regulars Hilary Duff and Ashley Greene.

Runyon Canyon Park
Take advantage of that gorgeous L.A. weather and hit the hiking trails – Runyon Canyon is the gold standard because of its proximity to the Hollywood Hills (aka celeb central). When you reach the top you’ll be treated to a panoramic 360-degree view, stretching all the way from Downtown to West L.A. Choose from three different paths of varying difficulties and get ready to either stroll or sweat it out beside Ryan Gosling and Lea Michele. Best of all, Runyon is pooch-friendly so bring your four-legged-friend along.

Dark, loud, sweaty and fun – these iconic 45-minute spin classes are a favourite of the Kardashians, thanks to the hyped instructors and dance-party vibe. Cycle through a sequence of heart-thumping rhythm-based choreography, using hand positions to engage muscles and ride fast both in and out of the saddle. The super-dark room is liberating and allows you to zone out, focus on yourself and get lost in the beat. You’ll burn serious calories as well as enjoying a powerful all-absorbing mind-body experience.

Tracy Anderson Brentwood Studio
Anderson is known as the celeb trainer who sculpted the crazy-good bodies of Jennifer Lopez and Gwyneth Paltrow. Her trademark TA Method focuses on activating small muscles (rather than large muscle groups) and keeping them consistently working, claiming to deliver anyone – regardless of their natural genetics – a long, lean physique. Classes are a 50-minute mix of dance cardio with mat work focusing on the legs and glutes. Workouts are constantly changing, with new routines added to ensure that your progress never plateaus. For the full Hollywood experience, treat yourself to a blow-out (USD$55) after class at the David Babaii Blow-Dry Bar (attached to the Brentwood studio).

Wundabar Pilates Los Feliz
Favoured by Vanessa Hudgens, this Pilates 2.0 reboot uses the patented WundaFormer machine: a hybrid of traditional Pilates reformer, Wunda Chair, ballet bar and jump board all rolled into one. Because there’s no need to switch equipment, one move flows seamlessly into the next with no transition downtime meaning intensity stays high for the whole class. This total body strengthening and toning workout is guaranteed to leave you sore! Bonus for beginners: the first class is FREE.
