Healthy snack recipe

Here in the URBANSWEAT office we love a snack (or two). And in our tireless search for snacks that are healthy AND tasty (you’re welcome), we came across Sydneysider Kim Beach and her amazing recipes. Our favourite? These ridiculously delicious brownies.

Kim Beach’s Seriously Good Brownies
(Makes 12)

You’ll need:
1 cup (250g) almond butter
1/2 cup (60g) cacao powder
1/4 cup (60ml) pure maple syrup
1/2 cup (60g) chopped walnuts

1. Combine the almond butter, cacao powder and maple syrup in a food processor. Transfer to a bowl, add the chopped walnuts and stir to combine.

2. Line a small square baking tin with baking paper and spoon in the mixture. Using the back of the spoon, spread out the mixture so it is about 2.5cm thick and a nice square shape

3. Refrigerate for 2 hours, slice into squares and store in fridge.
