What URBANSWEAT says:
The Secret Yoga Society run one-hour yoga classes, followed by a vegan meal with wine. The yoga is a gentle practice that is accessible to yoga newbies as well as established yogis, but it’s more of a fun night out to meet new people than a fitness class. The location is different every time, so depending on the month, you might experience something slightly different to when we reviewed this event. However, what will be the same is the friendly atmosphere. The room where you practice yoga and eat is styled beautifully with candles, fairy lights, flowers and comfy cushion seating around a large communal table.
You really have to go with the idea of meeting people, and you’ll need to have an open mind. If you don’t, you might find it harder to relax. And while you may go with some slight apprehension, as it is something different, the evening is usually filled with a lot of laughter. While there could have been a little more food, depending on your appetite, the colourful vegan food is healthy, wholesome and very tasty. It’s best to take your own mat, bottled water and some warm clothes, as you can get chilly sitting around after a class. And most importantly go with a free spirit to meet and chat with new people. The Secret Yoga Society is open to both men and women, but there were mostly women the night we attended.
