How to have Healthy Hens party

If you think of tiara’s, strippers and penis straws when you think of hen’s parties. You’re not alone. Luckily there is another way… You don’t have to settle for the idea of waking up with hangovers, empty pockets and Monday morning breakouts.  Thanks to Healthy Hen’s you can celebrate your last days of freedom with yoga, flower crowns, healthy food – all wrapped up into a unforgettable healthy hen’s retreat. Bring on the Zen!

The idea for Healthy Hen’s came about when founder Haylie Doyle, a qualified Yoga and Pilates instructor, was planning her sister’s hens party; she realised she wanted to do something a different. So she traded in the traditional boozy night out for something a little more fitness and health friendly. It was so successful, she’s since turned it into a thriving business in five Aussie locations!

“The lead up to a wedding is a busy time, our hens’ parties are the perfect opportunity to take a break from all that planning and spend quality time with your nearest and dearest,” explains Haylie.

So, for all you fun, active and creative women out there (yep, that’s you), Healthy Hens can turn that downward spiral of a night into a downward dog and salutation to the sun.

Choose from a bunch of different programs on offer – some for the more adventurous, and some for those looking for relaxation.

We love the Zest Hen option – along with some stand-up paddle boarding or learning to ride the waves, this option gets you moving with some Pilates, bootcamp or yoga. And finally, it lets us swap the cocktails and pin the trunks on the hunks for a juice cleanse and some DIY flower crowns.

“Healthy Hens are committed to making sure everyone leaves feeling refreshed and relaxed,” says Hayle – that’s certainly a far cry from those heavy heads and regrets!

If you’re keen to make your party a little more unique, Healthy Hens have individualised programs to suit you and your buddies too.

“One of the coolest hens we have run was in Lorne on the coast. The group booked the Zest Hen package and we teed up a Kombi for the girls to cruise down the Great Ocean Road in from their friends,” remembers Haylie.

The big question on our minds though was, do we need to be getting married? Answer is no!

So, don’t worry if you and your friends don’t have weddings on the horizon,  you don’t have to be getting married to experience a healthy weekend away – she also runs birthday parties, girls’ weekends and even work bonding trips.
